Mercy is an experienced researcher in software engineering. She has been a research associate at the Institute of Information Science and Technologies of the National Research Council in Pisa (Italy) and the United Nations University International Institute for Software Technology in Macau.
Her overall interest lies in working and writing about data for social good and citizen participation in data collection during disasters.
Mercy is a Mathematician by training and a graduate of the prestigious Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University, NASA Ames California, where she has also been a teaching fellow.
